Helping to shape the industry as a member of Germany’s leading property federation
The German Property Federation (ZIA) pursues the objective of representing the general, economic and ideological interests of the entire property sector and of promoting collaboration among its members. It supports and accompanies measures suitable for sustaining and improving the economic, legal, political and fiscal framework conditions of the property sector.
As an umbrella organisation, ZIA represents its members, which include numerous renowned companies in the real estate and financial sectors, both at a national and a European level - and within the Federal Association of Germany Industry (BDI).
Real I.S. is represented on key ZIA committees by two members of its Management Board:
German Property Federation (ZIA)
The German Property Federation (ZIA) is one of the sector's most important interest groups and views itself as the strong voice of the entire property industry. It combines and represents the interests of its members in shaping public, political and administrative decision-making processes.
Members of the German Property Federation (ZIA) include both companies and more than 25 associations who cover the entire value chain of the property sector. Working closely with its members, ZIA is an advocate for around 37,000 companies in the sector.
ZIA's substantive work is carried out by committees, which are made up of around 500 experts from the member companies. In regular meetings, these members work on formulating opinions on real estate policy issues.
The members are linked through a reliable network, which is ably supported by regional representatives, for example via local events. Whether through its activities at EXPO REAL, MIPIM or regional conferences - ZIA is the network of the property industry. The Steering Committee is elected by the federation's members and manages the general course of ZIA's operations. Once these priorities have been set, the Management Board is responsible for managing the federation's daily business.
Promotion of Science an Innovation
Our targeted promotion of science and young talent is aimed at infusing the sector we operate in with an innovative spirit as a success factor for the future. We are a sponsoring partner of the International Real Estate Business School (IREBS) and promote innovative projects run by the European Business School (EBS). In the context of this partnership, Real I.S. donates the "Innovation Award" which is conferred once a year in recognition of students' innovative project ideas.
About the scientific cooperation between Real I.S. and EBS
The private state-accredited EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht is one of Germany’s leading business schools and excels in particular through the synergistic combination of the two faculties of the EBS Business School and the EBS Law School. The "Real Estate Management Institute" (REMI) focuses its research and teaching on the interdisciplinary aspects of property transactions as well as on sustainable value chains in the property life cycle.
The SOVEREIGN research department at EBS views itself as an interdisciplinary research centre. It is therefore the first academic institution in the German speaking region to unify innovation management in a holistic sense with the real estate industry, also with reference to the challenges facing society in the future. In this context, REMI’s expertise in the field of real estate is complemented by the innovation competence of the "Strascheg Institute for Innovation, Transformation & Entrepreneurship" (SITE), one of Germany’s largest research institutes in the field of innovation management and entrepreneurship.
